ABOUT US
The Massachusetts Pearls of Distinction Foundation is a nonprofit, tax exempt 509 (a)(2) charitable organization established to provide funds in support of programs that service the Southeastern Massachusetts area. The foundation was established by the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Psi Iota Omega Chapter. For the last 18 years, the Psi Iota Omega Chapter has implemented Alpha Kappa Alpha’s national platform in the areas of Educational Enrichment, Health Promotion, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership, and Global Impact.
Signature programs include the Annual Ivy Golf Classic and ongoing community programs such as Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (AKA CHIPP™).
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Massachusetts Pearls of Distinction Foundation is to provide funding for scholarships, community programming and global awareness initiatives that enrich and advance underserved communities in Southeastern, Massachusetts including the Cape and the Islands.
Our vision is for this foundation to become the primary resource for community advancement in Southeastern, Massachusetts.
