About

Rooted in service.
Growing through impact.

A charitable Foundation shaped by a tradition of service and a shared commitment to our communities.

Our story

A shared commitment.
A wider possibility.

The Massachusetts Pearls of Distinction Foundation was established by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Psi Iota Omega Chapter, to expand resources and opportunities for communities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.

Rooted in a longstanding tradition of service, the Foundation has grown as a community-facing charitable organization that mobilizes resources, partnerships, and philanthropic support.

The Foundation and Psi Iota Omega Chapter are separate organizations with a shared history of service.

Today the Foundation’s work has two parts: its program, Pearls of Nia Legacy Girl Scouts Troop #84131, and its philanthropic initiatives in scholarship, essential resources, family empowerment, and community partnership.
